1. The short version

DownSwift is a free, no-registration media download helper. We do not ask for your name, email, or account, and we do not sell personal data. This policy explains the small amount of information the service does process.

2. Media links you submit

When you paste a public video or post URL, our servers fetch that page's public metadata so we can show download options. Briefly:

• The submitted URL and its extracted metadata are kept in a temporary cache for up to 10 minutes to speed up repeat requests and reduce load on source platforms.
• Technical stream headers needed to complete a download are kept for up to 2 hours, then expire automatically.
• Nothing is associated with your identity — we only see the request, not who sent it.

3. Download proxy

Media files are streamed to you through our proxy because many platform CDNs block direct cross-origin links. We do not store, copy, or archive the media that passes through; standard web-server access logs (IP address, requested path, timestamp) are kept only briefly for abuse prevention.

4. Cookies & local storage

• Local storage: your language and theme preferences are saved in your browser. They never leave your device.
• Google Analytics 4: we use cookie-based, privacy-default analytics to see which features are useful. IP addresses are not logged or shared with us.
• You can opt out of analytics via Google's Analytics Opt-out Add-on.

5. Third-party platforms

DownSwift only accesses publicly available content at the addresses you provide. Content remains owned by its creators and the respective platforms; if you are on downswift.com sub-sites, the same rules apply across the whole DownSwift family.

6. Children

The service is not directed at children under 13, and we knowingly collect no data from them.

7. Changes

If this policy changes materially, we update the date above. Continued use means you accept the updated policy.
