TTSave Alternative - Nine Platforms, Ten Languages
TTSave is the leanest site we measured: 635 words, no section headings, five languages. Lean is not automatically bad, but it does have a cost. Here is the measured comparison.
What DownSwift Adds
Three differences measured on the same day as the numbers in the table.
Ten languages instead of five
TTSave publishes five language versions. DownSwift publishes ten, adding Chinese, Japanese, German, Thai and Vietnamese.
Nine platforms instead of one
TTSave is a TikTok downloader. DownSwift covers nine platforms in the same box, so one bookmark handles Instagram, X, Facebook, Reddit and Pinterest too.
Installable and cached
TTSave serves neither a web app manifest nor a service worker. DownSwift ships both, so it can live on your home screen and load its shell from cache.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
If TTSave works for you and you only download TikTok, there is little reason to switch. The case for moving is breadth: nine platforms instead of one, ten languages instead of five, and an installable cached page.
We measured 635 words and zero h2 section headings on its homepage. Some of that is a deliberate minimalism, which is a legitimate design choice. But it also means there is nowhere on the page to explain what to do when a download fails, which is the single most common question in this category.
Yes. Every page documents what the tool cannot do — private posts, region-locked streams, DRM-protected video — rather than leaving you to guess. If a link fails, the error says which of those it was.
No. No sign-up, no login, no history, and no copy of the media is kept on our servers.
Yes. DownSwift is a website, so it works in Safari and Chrome on iOS and Android without an app. It can also be added to your home screen and will open full-screen.
TTSave is the leanest site in the set we measured, and it is worth being precise about what that means rather than treating it as a fault. A single input box and a button is a legitimate product. The question is what you give up.
All figures below were measured by requesting each site directly on 23 September 2026.
DownSwift and TTSave compared
| What | DownSwift | TTSave |
|---|---|---|
| Platforms covered | 9 — TikTok, Instagram, X, Facebook, Reddit, Pinterest, Threads, Xiaohongshu, Douyin | TikTok only |
| Installable to your home screen | Yes (web app manifest) | No |
| Service worker (cached app shell) | Yes | No |
| Language versions declared (hreflang tags) | 11 | 5 |
| Rich-result markup (schema.org types) | 10 | 2 |
What TTSave does well
Its tool set is the broadest we measured. Alongside video and MP3 it offers separate tabs for Stories, photo slides, profile pictures and thumbnails. We do not offer profile-picture or thumbnail extraction at all, so if you need either of those, TTSave is the better tool and this is the clearest place on this page where we lose.
It is uncluttered. 635 words on the homepage and no section headings at all. If you have ever landed on a downloader and had to scroll past three screens of filler to find the input box, TTSave is the opposite of that problem and it deserves credit for it.
It loads a smaller page than ours. Roughly 7.8 KB compressed against about 11.9 KB for us, so around two thirds the weight. On a slow connection that difference is noticeable.
It publishes schema markup, albeit only Organization and WebSite. That is more than MusicalDown manages.
Where DownSwift differs
Language coverage. TTSave publishes five language versions. We publish ten: English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Thai, Indonesian, Tagalog, Malay, Japanese, Chinese and German. If you are in one of the five TTSave does not cover, this is the difference that matters most.
Platform coverage. One platform against nine. TTSave is a TikTok tool; DownSwift handles TikTok, Instagram, X, Facebook, Reddit, Pinterest, Threads, Xiaohongshu and Douyin.
Installability. TTSave serves no manifest and no service worker, so it cannot be added to a home screen and its shell is not cached. DownSwift ships both.
When TTSave is the better choice
If you download TikTok occasionally, on a slow connection, and you are happy with a single input box, TTSave does exactly that and does it with a third of the bytes. There is no reason to switch.
The honest case for moving is narrow: you need more than one platform, or you need a language we cover and TTSave does not, or you want the page to keep working on a bad connection.
Why minimal pages struggle with the hard questions
There is a real trade-off hiding in that 635-word figure, and it is not about search rankings.
The most common question anyone has about a downloader is not "how do I download a video". It is "why did this link fail". Answering that requires somewhere to put the answer. A page with no section headings has nowhere, so the user is left to guess whether the post was deleted, whether the tool is broken, or whether they did something wrong.
Our approach is the opposite: each page documents its own limits. Private accounts, follower-only posts, region-locked streams and DRM-protected video are all listed as things the tool cannot do, so a failure has a name. That costs words, and the words cost bytes. It is a trade we have made deliberately, and if you would rather have the bytes, TTSave is the better choice for you.
How these figures were produced
DownSwift is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any of the services compared on this page. Their names are used only to identify them, and all trademarks belong to their owners.
Every figure in the table above was measured by requesting both sites' homepages on 23 September 2026 and counting the relevant attributes directly. Both columns come from the same kind of page, so the two are directly comparable rather than merely adjacent. None of it came from a third-party estimate. Where a service blocks automated requests, this page says so and names the source and date of the figures it uses instead of guessing.
You do not have to take our word for any of it. Fetch the competitor's homepage and count the
hreflang attributes for the language figure, count the
application/ld+json blocks for the rich-result markup, check for a
rel="manifest" link for installability, and fetch /sitemap.xml for the
declared-page count. All four checks are objective and take about a minute. Run the same four checks
against downswift.com for our own column — our language count lives on the
homepage, not here, because these comparison pages are English-only and declare no
hreflang at all.
